Independent AMSOIL Dealerships are recommended for people who want to own their own businesses, be their own boss, and set their own schedule and goals. The AMSOIL business opportunity is versatile and dynamic so that each person can create his or her own personally tailored business.

Personal Sales
As an AMSOIL Dealer, you purchase AMSOIL products at Dealer cost and then sell them at the suggested retail price. Your income starts building immediately with retail profits and commission bonuses!

Catalog Sales
Dealers distribute AMSOIL catalogs, and AMSOIL INC. takes it from there. AMSOIL takes the order, ships the product, bills the customer and collects the money. The Dealers collect the retail profits and the commissions.

Internet Sales
Dealers can either purchase a ready made website form AMSOIL or create their own custom websites to sell products directly via the internet. Dealers can also link their websites to the corporate AMSOIL website so customers can purchase products directly through the AMSOIL On-Line Store, and Dealers get the retail profits and commissions.

Building Your Sales Group
You can expand your AMSOIL Dealership and increase your income volume by developing your own personal group of AMSOIL Dealers. AMSOIL pays you commissions on their sales.

Retail On-The-Shelf Sales and Commercial Sales
Retail and On-The-Shelf Accounts are retail outlets such as auto parts, quick lubes and hardware and sporting goods stores. These stores stock AMSOIL products on their shelves to sell to their customers. Commercial Accounts are businesses which have vehicles, equipment and machinery that use the quality lubricants and filters available in the AMSOIL product line. Once you've registered on of these accounts, AMSOIL extends them credit, takes their orders, ships their product, invoices the product and collects the payment. AMSOIL then sends you your monthly commission earnings from the account.

If you are interested in becoming a Dealer to decide if the AMSOIL business might be something you would want to pursue, you can register as a Dealer for $15.00 for six months (or one year @ $30.00) as a trial. You would be able to buy at a 25% discount and resell products, sign up other dealers, retail accounts, and commercial accounts. These are the types of activities that would develop your business. You would be able to purchase products in any quantity direct from AMSOIL Inc. at wholesale pricing.

Full Dealer

lf you are interested in becoming a Dealer to develop and build a business, you would need to register for one year and to purchase a BUSINESS MANUAL for $65.00. The Business Manual is a three ring binder that includes ten detailed "how to" manuals, covering all aspects of running an AMSOIL Dealership. All of the administrative materials you need are included, along with the product selection guides and reference materials you will use on a continuous basis. In addition, you will eventually want to purchase the AMSOIL Literature Pack (G-1312 @ $30.00) that contains over 100 different Amsoil literature items. This Is not a "get rich quick" scheme, it requires a lot of time and effort, but if you are the entrepreneurial type, looking for a business opportunity with unlimited potential and small start up cost, this may be for you.

From the President's Desk...There Has Never Been A Better Time To Be An AMSOIL Dealer

Although our convention has now passed, our corporate staff has moved on to
other important projects and those Dealers who attended are all back home
working their AMSOIL businesses, I would like to make one final convention
observation. That is, never before in our 35-year history have I seen so
many Dealers so totally excited about their futures with AMSOIL. And they
have every right to be. I have said it before and I will say it again now
because it has never been more true there has never been a better time to
be an AMSOIL Dealer.

When I think back to this company's beginning in 1972, with our
introduction of the world's first API-rated synthetic motor oil, I can't
help but appreciate the tremendous effort we have made. I knew our
synthetic oil was far superior to conventional oil, but I didn't know how
consumers would embrace it or how much impact we could have on the market.
To the industry, it was all new and different. Some crazy jet fighter pilot
in northern Wisconsin was really shaking things up. AMSOIL synthetic motor
oil was outperforming all other oils, and the industry refused to accept
it. And who did this guy up there in Wisconsin think he was, recommending
25,000-mile drain intervals?

Needless to say, we had an uphill climb. Just ask those Dealers who were
there in the beginning. Ask the Hall of Fame Dealers who are featured on
page 13 of this issue. They will tell you. They fought off the skeptics,
battled through the obstacles and, 35 years ago, helped build the
Dealership foundation.

To a large extent, it is that foundation that supports the success of all
AMSOIL Dealers and the company, as well. We still have our battles to
fight, but we are on very solid ground. The industry that snubbed us 35
years ago is now trying to play catch-up.

Just take a look at all the other synthetic oils on the market today and
how these "advanced" new oils are promoted for their superiority to
conventional oils. And isn't it odd that not until recently did the
technology exist to extend drain intervals beyond 3,000 miles? We all,
including the entire motor oil industry, know better than that.

This is good for AMSOIL. We are now in a position of leadership, and our
Dealers are capitalizing on that. The "synthetic oil versus conventional
oil" battle is now being fought much less often. And with much tougher
performance regulations pushing the need for synthetics, along with vehicle
and equipment manufacturers requiring them as factoryfills more often, our
target markets are much more receptive.

The push toward extended drains is working to our advantage too. There is
no company in this industry that has more extended drain expertise than
AMSOIL. Absolutely no one does it better, and that's a benefit, now more
than ever, that consumers need from us. Whether it's saving money through
less oil used, saving the environment through less oil dumped or saving
time through the convenience of fewer oil changes, consumers can look to
AMSOIL Dealers to deliver the value they need.

This company has not even reached full stride, and I can only imagine how
much success our Dealers can ultimately achieve. We are poised to make it
happen. Wherever technology takes us, AMSOIL will lead the way. We will
never resort to producing products that lag behind any competitor. Our
expanded facilities and state-of-the-art blending equipment are now second
to none in the industry. And with the movement toward synthetic oil, the
push toward extended drain intervals and the Dealership foundation that has
been laid, opportunity is there for the taking.

Like I said, there has never been a better time to be an AMSOIL Dealer.

We have another year behind us now and can look back at 2008 with a major sense of accomplishment. The highlight, of course, was the celebration of our35 years as a multi-level marketing company. It is hard to believe it has been that long since our very first AMSOIL Dealers came on board and began what would become a wonderful journey of opportunity and success. I cannot possibly express how gratifying it has been to witness the efforts of the countless Dealers who have realized their dreams through the AMSOIL business opportunity. It is equally gratifying to know that countless more will follow.

I am not, however, one who looks back for long. It is fine to appreciate the past and wise to learn from our success and failure, but it is only by looking ahead that we grow as individuals and prepare ourselves for the challenges we face. No one can predict with certainty what the future holds in general, but I can predict with certainty where this company is headed. I will not submit to you a list of New Year's resolutions; resolutions are too easily broken. What I will submit, instead, is a list of relevant facts; these you can accept as truth.

Fact one:
AMSOIL INC. will continue to provide the absolute best products in the industry. We have been setting the standard since 1972, and that is certainly not going to change. The quality of our products is what sets us apart from all other lubricant manufacturers. In terms of marketing budgets, we simply can't compete with the Mobils and the Castrols of the world, so we have to let our products do our talking.We survive on quality, and the base oil and additive suppliers who work with us are fully aware of that. They don't come to us with the types of ingredients that other companies formulate with. The word average is not in our vocabulary. While others set their prices and then formulate accordingly, we formulate accordingly and then set our prices. At AMSOIL, quality will always come first.

Fact two:
AMSOIL INC. will continue along the path of sound decision making and financial responsibility. We will continue to reinvest in the company in those areas where growth dictates we should, and we will refrain from spending foolishly in those areas where prudent thought dictates we shouldn't. As I said in last month's column, the decisions I make, along with our Executive Vice Presidents Alan Amatuzio and Dean Alexander, are made through personal commitments to see this company prosper. We continue to grow through both good times and bad, and that, bottom line, is because we know what it takes to succeed in this business. Furthermore, we have too much of ourselves invested in this company to allow anything to hinder its progress.

Fact three:
AMSOIL INC. will maintain its position as a leader in integrity. We have gained the respect of the entire industry, not only through our commitment to quality, but through our honest, straight-forward approach to business, as well. The companies that deal with AMSOIL know exactly what they will get from us. We tell it like it is, pay our bills on time and treat others as we expect to be treated. We make no deceptive advertising claims and don't hide behind marketing ploys. With AMSOIL, what you see is what you get.

Fact four:
AMSOIL INC. will continue to support its Dealer network in every way possible. This company made a commitment to our Dealers in 1973, and we have never, and will never, waver from that commitment. As part of that commitment, we remain dedicated to providing the types of promotional materials and training opportunities you need to succeed in your business. I can't think of another company that goes further in that regard. You can also be assured that the lines of communication between the Dealer network and corporate AMSOIL will continue to remain open. Your input is critical to us, and don't think for one moment that we don't place great value in that.

Finally, AMSOIL will continue to invest in all ways feasible to support your efforts through advertising, sponsorships, event promotions and other marketing strategies. This company was built on a Dealer foundation, and it's on that foundation we will continue to grow.From all of us at corporate headquarters, I wish you a happy holiday season and a healthy and prosperous new year.
